1Click DVD Copy Pro is the upgraded version of 1Click DVD Copy that appears in the number two position of our top ten. This version has all of the same features plus some extras which just about justify the upgraded price tag. For a more in depth look at the software check out the top ten review where we will explain the differences in the Pro version.
Getting to number two in our top ten means that 1Click DVD Copy must be doing something right; and it is. It is one of the easiest applications to use that we have tried and really does let you copy DVDs in one click. The built in decrypter works brilliantly and handles all the latest copy protection mechanisms so that you can copy recent DVD movies and there are options to handle disc to disc copies or backing up to your hard drive. You won't find a much better piece of DVD copying software.
The difference in the Pro version as opposed to the Standard version is that you get more control over the content that is copied to your backup DVD. With this version you can decide which chapters and extras are included in the backup and which are left out. It is possible to do this manually using the handy preview window (which is also something the standard version doesn't have) or you can use one of the 1 click templates that store common settings for different types of DVD. This all works really well and the only complaint that we have is that some other applications let you do this sort of thing without charging you for an upgraded version - although the templates are unique to 1Click DVD Copy Pro.
The user interface is very similar to the standard edition, with the addition of a preview window so that you can preview the different chapters of the movie. This is handy when you want to only include certain chapters - as when you are copying an episodic DVD. The rest of the interface isn't much different and provides you with easy access to all the common features of the software.
We think 1Click DVD Copy Pro is an excellent piece of software for copying DVDs. The only downside is that this one costs a good bit more than the standard edition and doesn't add that much more functionality. If you want to do straight forward DVD copies go for the standard edition, but if you want a bit more control over your backups then you can't go wrong with this Pro version.
