DVD95Copy Pro is a simple DVD copying tool which can be used to make backups of your DVD movie collection as well as copying any data discs you may have. It provides all the functionality you need to make good quality backups with the minimum of fuss.
The main function of DVD95Copy Pro is to make straight disc to disc copies of DVD movies. You get the option to make an exact 1:1 copy, compress a dual layer disc to a single layer backup disc or split a dual layer disc across two single layer backup discs. If you choose to compress the DVD you will lose some of the quality, but not a hugely noticeable amount, and if this bothers you it's just as easy to split it across two discs with no loss of quality. The application can also handle copying Blu-ray discs, but the support for it seems slightly shaky.
The software will remove the region coding from your backup discs so that they can be played in most standalone DVD players. It can also remove most types of common copy protection with a built in decrypter so that you don't have to download any third party tools to do it. These things are all done automatically and you don't have to bother with any other complicated settings either.
The user interface lets DVD95Copy Pro down slightly. Although it works fine and is very easy to use, it looks slightly dated if you are used to the latest generation Vista style designs. However, it does make the copying process as simple as possible and you can copy a disc in just a few clicks. Looks are not everything though, and DVD95Copy Pro makes up for it by offering free updates forever when you purchase the full version - something a lot of its competitors charge a yearly fee for.
DVD95Copy Pro is a useful and well developed tool. It doesn't look as flashy as some of the other products in this category, but performs as well if not better than a lot of them. If you can get past the dated looking user interface there is a decent DVD copying tool here and a trial version is available so that you can see for yourself.
