Magicbit DVD Copy is an easy to use and well designed DVD copying tool. It does all the things necessary to make good quality backups of your DVD movies and is part of a suite of programs which can also convert DVD movies to formats compatible with portable devices like the iPod. Even beginners should have no problem making a decent quality DVD backup with this software.
Magicbit DVD Copy supports all the necessary functions to make good quality DVD backups of your movie collection. Depending on what type of backup disc you want to use, you can copy straight from disc to disc or compress a dual layer DVD onto a single layer backup disc. The software also allows you to backup a movie to your hard drive so that you can watch it from there or burn it at another time. You have the option to select which extras and audio tracks to include as well as being able to choose which episodes from a TV Season DVD, like 24, to include.
The software includes its own DVD decrypter which means it automatically removes any copy protection on the disc as well as region encoding. This means your backups can be played on any standard DVD player. Magicbit also provide free support and upgrades for life so if you have any problems help is only an email away. However, most people shouldn't have many problems as the backups we made were all good quality and worked in our test DVD player.
The user interface Magicbit DVD Copy provides is well designed and easy to use even for novice users. The different options are mostly explained within the application itself and further help can be found in the support section of the Magicbit web site. The good design makes it easy to select which parts of the DVD you want in the backup and what kind of disc you want to copy onto.
Magicbit DVD Copy is a decent quality application for the price. While not the cheapest around, it includes more features than some similar applications which sell at higher prices so is definitely better value. You can also get discounts if you decide to buy more than one application from Magicbit Software at the same time and a trial version is available so we reccomed giving it a shot.
